The Marvel film bags an impressive Rs18.75 crore nett on its opening day in India, registers fifth biggest opening for any Hollywood film in India.

While Bollywood continues to sweat over the fate of every film, Marvel Cinematic Universe content continues to draw the desi audience in large numbers. Its latest offering Thor: Love and Thunder  has impressed desi viewers on the first day. The Marvel film bagged an impressive Rs18.75 crore nett on its opening day, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
The English film also released in multiple [dubbed] Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Thor: Love and Thunder has recorded the fifth biggest opening for any Hollywood film in India. No surprise that the top four are all Marvel films –
Avengers: Endgame  – Rs52.50 cr
Spider-Man: No Way Home  – Rs32.75 cr
Avengers: Infinity War  – Rs30.25 cr
Dr.Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness  – Rs29.25 cr
Thor: Love and Thunder has released in India a day before the United States. The expected strong opening makes it tough for Bollywood and other regional films that are also set to be released on 8 July. Vidyut Jammwal’s Khuda Haafiz 2  will have tough battle at hand.
