We haven’t seen any of these films, but we wonder whether Dilwale [2015], Kalank [2019], Street Dancer 3D, or any of the Dulhania franchise films had VFX? Bhediya [2002] though seems to have immersive VFX.

The much-vaunted trailer of Bhediya [2022] dropped today. It’s largely received positive feedback, especially for its immersive VFX. It was also the day where Varun Dhawan completed 10 years in the film industry. Dhawan dropped a bomb while reflecting his decade long journey. The Bhediya [2022] actor stunned all by admitting that he’s done film that had cringeworthy VFX.
He cherished the positive feedback to Bhediya’s VFX and didn’t hesitate in saying that the Indian audience will no longer settle for anything less. He got us curious with his subsequent disclosure.
“I’ve done films, where VFX was cringeworthy. That time, I may have said it is very good. Now when I look back, there has been cringeworthy moments in the VFX. But I didn’t do VFX. I can just try and work with directors who can bring about a change. Now, I believe I am more responsible,” revealed Dhawan.
Of course, Dhawan was never going to name the film(s). We wonder though whether the likes of Kalank [2019], Street Dancer 3D [2020], Dilwale [2015], or maybe one of the Dulhania franchise films had any VFX? Unfortunately, we haven’t seen these films. Maybe, Dhawan fans can help. To be fair to these films, but we don’t think Dhawan has really done a VFX. heavy before Bhediya [2022]?
Earlier, when asked to reflect on his journey, and whether he’s adapted any particular thing which he didn’t have before, Dhawan replied, “I don’t know about the process, but I have always kept an ear out to hear out what the audience is trying to tell me. It’s not like I’ve done a great job in any film. I’m always trying to hear, grow. There was a time when I was arrogant in thinking that everything is fine, why should I even care what someone is even saying, but there is always room for doing better. However, as an actor, I shouldn’t run myself down.”
He cherishes the decade long journey but Dhawan is keen on the present and the future.
“I want to enjoy what Bhediya will bring or enjoy what JugJugg Jeeyo [2022] gave me. I believe I have often listened to the voice of the people. That is why I wanted to do a film like Bhediya, I wanted to work with a director like Amar Kaushik,” added Dhawan.
Bhediya [2022] is set to be released on 25 November.
