The Star Studios, Dharma Productions film has thus far bagged close to Rs75 crore nett in its two-day India business.

The #BoycottBollywood lot can take a break. Despite the mixed reviews, and the repeated calls for boycott, Indian audiences have warmed up to Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva . After opening to Rs 35.75 crore nett [all languages], the Bollywood fantasy, action drama enjoyed a good Saturday bagging Rs39.50 crore nett [all languages] to take its two-day total to Rs75.25 crore nett, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
The early promising collection augurs well for the Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus India co-production. It’s been a lean year for Bollywood and Brahmastra  looks strong to surpass Bhool Bhulaiyaa and probably even The Kashmir Files that bagged Rs181.60 crore nett and Rs246.91 core nett, respectively in domestic collection..
The worldwide two-day collection of Brahmastra stands at around Rs160 crore. While the film has had a good two day collection, but the challenge for Brahmastra is said to be its huge budget. There are conflicting figures with some putting the budget to be in excess of Rs400 crore, some say Rs500 crore. In a recent conversation with few people, they quoted the figure to be much lower – Rs250 crore.
What cannot be discounted though is that the two-day collection offer hope for the Bollywood film to rake in huge numbers. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan in leading roles.
