A film about family will naturally throw up some personal conversations. It was a day when producer Ektaa Kapoor was left in tears while fearing over the mere thought of not having her parents in this world one day. It was also a day to indulge into some fanfare.
For the first time ever, iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in an Ektaa Kapoor production. The veteran plays the lead in director Vikas Bahl’s Goodbye [2022].. The trailer was launched today [6 September] in Mumbai. Kapoor took the moment to share an interesting anecdote.
“Since I was a child, I always dreamt of working with one man – Amitabh Bachchan. As a child, my father is aware that I used to go for children’s [Abhishek, Shweta] birthday parties at Amit ji’s house. Amit uncle used to call my father and say that she just sat and stared at me all evening. I don’t think, I ever wanted to work with anyone, no Khans, nobody except Mr. Amitabh Bachchan,” said Kapoor.
The seasoned film and TV producer thanked director Vikas Bahl for helping her to live this dream.
The veteran actor, who was recently struck by Covid-19 again, couldn’t make it to the event, but he joined his team via video conferencing. The humble veteran called it an honour to be part of an Ektaa Kapoor production.
Goodbye [2022] is set to be released in theatres on 7 October, four days before the legend’s 80th birthday.
