The super star is shown in a fiery luminous avtaar in a blink-and-miss appearance in the trailer.

Director Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra has taken a long time to be made. Eight years after it was first announced, Brahmastra will finally hit the theatres on 9 September. It is a three-part series with the first film titled Part One Shiva., the titular character played by Ranbir Kapoor.
The trailer shows Shiva [Kapoor] as a creation of fire. We’ve shared our views on the trailer in an earlier article. Among the things that excite us is Shah Rukh Khan in the film. Many may not recall, but it was widely reported how King Khan will be part of the film. We see Ranbir Kapoor impersonate Raj Malhotra – SRK’s iconic character in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) – briefly in the Brahmastra trailer. And he does so with a Ravan [not Ra.One] in the backdrop. Shiva is not just a fan but it appears that Shah Rukh Khan’s character has a strong equation with Shiva.

We don’t see the man, but as seen from above image, it is only a graphical fiery visual of SRK’s avtaar in the film. This one even has a tail like Lord Hanuman. Let’s hope there is no Raj Malhotra-style bromance between Shiva and SRK’s character here.
This is the second successive cameo appearance by SRK in a Karan Johar production. Khan was also seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil [2016]. Khan had last played the lead in a Dharma Productions film was in 2010 when he won accolades for his role of an autistic man in My Name is Khan [2010]. Perhaps, it is wise to hold our horses as SRK might surprise us with more than a cameo show in Brahmastra. Khan’s no stranger to being a super hero. He played one in the sci-film film Ra. One [2011]. Fans will be eager to see Khan in his Brahmastra avtaar.
