The Major [2022] actor announces a charitable initiative in the name of late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan for aspiring CDS and NDA aspirants across the country.

His film has received rave reviews and fared well commercially in mainly South markets, but Major [2022] is also gaining steadily in the Hindi market. too Writer, lead actor Adivi Sesh also made a major announcement in Mumbai today [8 June]. Adivi, who has been praised for his ode to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, announced a charitable initiative in the name and honor of the 26/11 martyr.
“We want to raise a charitable initiative in the name of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan for CDS and NDA [National Defence Academy] aspirants across the country. Many people from small town, villages don’t know how to apply for it. They don’t have money for the text books. They don’t have guidance for the training institutes, We will guide, train them, and even offer little bit of monetary help,” Adivi announced in Mumbai today.
The actor has vowed to lead from the front, hoping to get support from his friends and fellow actors soon. This initiative serves as another tribute to the martyr. “I will do everything in my capacity to ensure that Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s legacy will be counted not among unsung, but sung heroes,” said Avidi.
Courtesy his co-star Saiee’s actor-filmmaker father Mahesh Manjrekar, Avidi would be meeting the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray to flag off the initiative from Mumbai, the very place Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan fought for and gave his during the barbaric terrorist attacks of 26/11 [2008].
