Ghosh has accused Kashyap of rape, wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement and outraging modesty of woman

Backing her sexual assault claim, actor Payal Ghosh finally filed an FIR against filmmaker, producer Anurag Kashyap at Versova Police Station (Mumbai) on Tuesday, 22 September. This was confirmed by constable Suresh but he didn’t divulge the nature of FIR.

Ghosh’s lawyer Nitin Satpute shed light on the FIR.

“Finally FIR has been lodged against Accused for the offence Rape, wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement and outraging modesty of woman U/S 376(1), 354, 341, 342 of IP,” tweeted Satpute.

What’s eye catching is the allegation of rape. In her claim earlier, Ghosh had stated that Kashyap had called her to his house in January 2015 on the pretext of giving her work. Ghosh alleged that Kashyap took her to a room, bolted the door, took off his clothes and tried to force himself upon her. The filmmaker has termed her allegations as baseless.
