After the sudden death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput (34) on 14 June, 2020, many celebrities and political figures from the entertainment industry, along with people from the actor’s hometown [Patna] have urged the Maharashtra Government to initiate a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) inquiry in the suspected suicide case.
Actress Rhea Chakraborty, who is rumoured to be Sushant’s girlfriend, has finally broken her silence on the matter when she took over to Twitter on Thursday (16 June 16), requesting Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Rajput’s death. She posted a couple of tweets in this regard.

I’m Sushant Singh Rajput;s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, It is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however in the interest of justice , I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry. (inquiry) . part 1..
Part 2: I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter . I only want to understand what pressures , prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely #satyamevajayate @AmitShah sir”,” tweeted Chakraborty.
Earlier in the day, the actress had revealed how she has been receiving rape and death threats on social media following Rajput’s death. The actress urge the Cyber police to look into these serious threats, The post on her Instagram handle read,
“I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet
I was called a murderer ….I kept quiet
I was slut shamed ….I kept quiet
But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ?
Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment.
I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action.”
Rhea has already been questioned on the actor’s death by the Mumbai Police.
Earlier, DCP Abhishek Trimukhe, who is leading the investigation on Sushant’s death, told Bollywood Beyond that based on the investigation so far, they found nothing against actor Salman Khan, while filmmaker Karan Johar hasn’t been questioned yet.
