Adil Hussain, Neeraj Kabi-starrer Raahgir to premier at Busan

Acclaimed director Goutam Ghose’s Hindi film to be screened under A Window on Asian Cinema section

National Award winning Bengali filmmaker Goutam Ghose’s Hindi film Raahgir (The Wayfarers)  is set to have its world premier at the Busan International Film Festival this year.  The film stars Adil Hussain, Neeraj Kabi and Tillotama Shome. It is produced by Amit Agarwal and it will be in screened under ‘A Window on Asian Cinema’ section.

Confirming the same director Goutam Ghose said in a statement, “I am happy to know that Busan International festival has invited our film Raahgir (The Wayfarers) for the world premiere in early October. The film is a journey of ordinary people in cinematic time and space revealing the face of humanity. A travel of love and compassion.”

“We are happy that the journey of the film is starting with such a prestigious film festival. Our association with Goutam da is very special and we are proud and happy that we have achieved what we set out to achieve with the film. We hope people who watch it, like it too.” added producer Amit Agarwal.

The film tells a tale of human empathy in time of crisis and revolves around three characters and the relationship they make with each other through a journey in search of their livelihoods.

Busan International Film Festival will take place from 3rd to 12th October in Busan and Raahgir will be screened on October 7th. Ghose’s Bengali film Dakhal (1981) won the National Award for Best Feature film.
