There were murmurs of Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi clashing with Salman Khan’s Inshallah on Eid in 2020. The holy Muslim festival will tentatively fall in the last week of May, 2020. Rohit Shetty has ruled out a clash but an Akshay Kumar film is lined up for 5 June release in 2020. The film in question is the Hindi remake of Tamil horror comedy Kanchana (2011), the second film in the Muni franchise. While the release date for Inshallah hasn’t been announced, but if it’s an Eid release, then Laxmmi Bomb would be releasing a week or two after Inshallah.
Akshay Kumar shared the Laxmmi Bomb poster and gave a brief glimpse into his look. The actor called it a bomb of a story.
“Bringing you one bomb of a story,#LaxmmiBomb starring @Advani_Kiara & yours truly! Bursting in cinemas on 5th June,2020. Fox Star Studios Presents. A Cape of Good Films Production in association with Shabinaa Entertainment & Tusshar Entertainment House. Directed by Raghava Lawrence,” tweeted Kumar.
Apart from Kumar, the film has Kiara Advani playing the female lead. Laxmmi Bomb is being distributed by Fox Star Studios. Lawrence had helmed and starred in the original. Kanchana was the story of a ordinary man who is haunted by the ghost of a transgender. And it will be the first time when Kumar would act as one.
